Battery Cables

When upgrading from an OEM to an SBC high-output alternator, you should upgrade the positive and negative (ground) cables to handle the increased current.

The SBC-DGM5.3-350 is a multi-alternator kit for the 5.3L EcoTec3 engine found in GMC and Chevy trucks and SUVs. It adds an SBC-D24V-350 alternator to the existing system adding a total of 300 Amps @ 24 Volts. The OEM 12 Volt system can be left as is or be upgraded to an SBC high output unit.

 

Available with external regulation for use with lithium-ion batteries
